Hello! I was wondering whether it is possible to make static binaries of a GTK2 based (very small) application. Though I tried, I am unable to do so because I get many "undefined reference" errors.
Though building static libraries is unwise, I need to do this for a specific application which needs to run on systems which may not have the latest GTK+ libraries. So, could you suggest a way? Do I need to getsome lib....a files corresponding to the .so files displayed by ldd? I am running Debian Sarge. -- Kumar Appaiah, 462, Jamuna Hostel, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai - 600 036 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
