Hello,

We have some RHEL AS3 and 4 servers. Some users are
running personal Perl scripts (XML RPC and other
customized daemonos through cron) and creating a kind
of client server interaction for monitoring some
applications. Which I dont like them to run just to
satisfy their developer instinct, as we already have
some standard monitoring tools in place to monitor
everything they are doing.

I have blocked cron access for everybody except root.
Now is there any way I can do to prevent them from
running a daemon or opening ports for communication.
Something like terminating a program launched by
particular owners automatically if they runs for more
than a certain time.

Regards.
