Anybody noticed the same and got a fix handy?

I am on dapper and have not had this problem (yet). I last upgraded a
couple of days ago. Murasaki and hotplug are not installed on my
machine. I have udev installed.

Translation = I'm an idiot :)

Newer versions of udev replace hotplug, as a quick look at apt-cache show udev reveals .. all I needed to do was to make sure the firmware for my wireless card was in /lib/firmware/ - where udev looks for it - instead of /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/

Oh, and I had to upgrade to 2.6.15 so that usplash, and a few other things, would work fine.

Up and running on dapper now, and it looks quite nice. Handles far more smoothly, feels a bit faster than breezy did.
