I concur with this. I was also facing the same problem of mismatch of
the time shown on my machine with the actual time. And changing the
cmos battery helped rectify the problem. But it should not be a
problem for servers which are always on. Because the battery is used
only when the computer is switched off . So on hind sight, it could be
some other problem too.
