I am planning to do a complete re-install of my system (replacing Ubuntu 6.06
with Feisty - no, not doing an upgrade view bandwith reasons - complete
reinstall from the CD)

I need to export/save all the settings of KMail which is my primary email
client. During a similar re-install sometimes back, I had saved the
old .kde/share/apps/kmail directory from my home directory and replaced it
post a new install. I did get back my old folders/directories/mails. What was
missing was the filter rules (have about 20+ rules) - and had to recreate
everyone of them which was/is a big pain.

Is there anyway that I can save/export these kmail filter rules? Am I missing
something when I am saving/copying the kmail directory?   Wasn't able to
google up any relevant help. Would be grateful for any tips.
TIA
