I purchased a wireless mouse "Gemini" model gem120 from eBay. Thought I'd share my experiences with you all.
The mouse comes in a bubble pack, along with a USB dongle (the RF reciever), two AAA batteries and a USB extension cable. The cost is Rs.499 + shiping Rs.150. The USB dongle is plugged into any USB port and its green LED lights up. The batteries are put into the mouse body (instructions are provided). First press a button on the dongle and then a button on the underside of the mouse. The mouse lights up, its an optical mouse ! At the same time, the LED blinks in acknowledgment and keeps blinking as long as the mouse is moved. If left untouched, the mouse shuts off and goes to sleep after some time, conserving battery power. No problem, one click on the mouse buttons (left or right) and mousie is fully awake again. Linux (Ubuntu 7.04) had no problem with the mouse. In fact both my wired and wireless mouse are connected and are able to move the pointer in perfect harmony. Range is also good, working at about 10+ ft. Now, I need to figure out how to make my WinXP see the moouse. First shot failed, maybe the logitech mouse driver needs turning off and a USB driver installed; bother !
