In their message, they clearly convey that they support FF on Mac and
MS windows. That shows attitude / mindset of corporates like Y!, which
have good projected image for Linux friendly.

Question is no that, it works on even unsupported browser, but respect
/ recongnition Linux got from such corporates.

Is there any real big effort, to make it supported on FF on Linux? Is
Mac's share in market is more than Linux?

I did, what I could. I rolled back, with comments:

  | you need to support it on FF on Linux.

I request you should do same, or any employee of Y! on this mailing
list, who can extend his / her help.
