Hi folks,

I am trying to install Debian for the first time, version is etch. While trying
setup adsl, using pppoeconf, i dont have problem configuring it. But I am not
able to authenticate my ISP. Please can you help me?

I have 3 different PPPOE Servers of 3 different ISPs, providint 3 different
access-concentrators, and i can see it when i do a pppoe-discovery.

I am able to connect to my desired ISP, if i using fedora (which I am currently
using) or any other distributions like Ubuntu or Open Suse.

In fact, it simply tries to connect to the PPPOE servers randomly, while I am
using Ubuntu or SuSe. With fedora I do not have any problem.

Debian, I've noticed tries to connect on the 1st ISP in pppoe-discovery, as
that is the MAC I see in the /var/log/messages.

I tried all the ISPs but none work on Debian alone. Please assist.

Thank you,

Ratnakar Koli
