Set up your local key server. But if you want to also send mails/files
outside then better to use public key servers.

Can you elaborate? I have not got any such email/file that I could try
and verify. They should be using certificate from a CA so it should be
verifiable.

Such paper traffic will not be verifiable even with key server!
