Depends on how much you are willing to spend:
* Motorola has just released an Android 1.5 phone in India that
looks nice, and importantly has lifetime access to MapMyIndia
maps. A friend of mine has one, and while driving somewhere in
Gurgaon, it did a great job of talking us to the destination.
 Expensive, though: About 28K
* There are other Motorola Linux phones which are cheaper: 10-15K,
I believe. You could ask RM. He has such a phone, and
 is happy with it.
* HTC phones can be ordered from the US, and will be available in
India soon. These are well built, but again probably will be
 around 20K.
* Samsung has some nice Android phones on the market, or coming
out soon, at a very good price/performance ratio. You can go
check their site, and I think that you can get one for 15-18K.
Have not actually seen any of these, though.
