: what is this a joke or what :) do you want to start a flame guys please
: ignore him, it may be a bug planted by M$ in the list. Linux gurus please
fight it out
: with relevant facts.
What you failed to comprehend , or to put it in a better way , what I
failed to express clearly was this...
1] I'm obviously pro-linux ; If not , why on earth would i be on a linux
user group mailing list ?
2] Its *NOT* that i'm trying to put down linux either ; I'm just trying to
tell you that MS puts up a .html on their pages claiming their NT
outperforms Apache/Linux by 677% (?) and somehow I always thought > 50% of
the servers run Apache than all other competition put together.... In fact I
know that some one server maintained by MS also runs apache ... I did a
blah.msn.com/invalid_url and I reached the Apache 2.2.6 [ dont corner me
with numbers] or some similar number configuration error page telling me
that the page did not exist ...So whats the deal ? If Linux sucks so much as
MS puts it , why is half the world running Linux ? Why is it the largest
selling OS in Deutschland/France ? So whats the catch ? Well I dont know the
answers to these and hence I posted to the list...
3] I was *NOT* trying to start a flame war or similar stuff...
4] I also remembered that some guys were asking for Linux Vs NT stuff and
this thing jolted me out of my wits and hence I figured I might as well
share it with you guys ...
5] I guess it *IS* my fault in not writing a nicer mail etc ... but who
wants to read up an essay , like you are doing right now ? So I just put in
the URL and what MS puts on the <title> NT Outperforms Linux</title> so that
people know that I'm not giving out that URL for info on how to install a
Linux box ;-)
6] Sorry if this is annoying anyone , and if you would prefer me not
putting in any URL's , I suppose I can shut up and just watch the list carry
on :-)
Sorry once again for annoying anyone and this is my last mail on this
thread.
