One of my friends has bought RH 6.0 from hong-kong. But it contains
copied CD's. My first thought was that since linux is freely distributable,
there is no issue of piracy in it. However it seems RH 6.0 contains some
licenced applications also which are not freely distributable? Also forget
the licensed add-ons. Is the fundamental OS including the kernel and the
basic utilities freely distributable? Then can the CD's be copied and
distributed freely?
RH 6.0 appears to cost around 4000+ Rs whereby the CD's (three no.s) can
be copied for around 150/- apiece.
