Recently i installed Rh 6.0 on a friend
comp. having the following config
process: Cyrix MII
Hdd: 6.3 GB(Seagate)
graphic : SiS 6215, 2mb vram
I specified the mount as / with native partition space
as 2Gb and a swap partition as 150MB. Rh6.0 created
the partition and formatted the partitions. I selected
the modules and packages and went for further
installation. It returned with the msg as 'Invalind
Mount'. I then reduced the native partition to 900 MB
and swap to 70 MB. The partitions were again formatted
and i selected the modules to be loaded. This time Rh6
returned that more Hdd space is required and soem of
the packages can be loaded. On using this option some
of the packages were installed but Rh wasnt able to
configure the mouse or the X.
I tried to ue another method, i took up Rh5.2 and
loaded it up. The installation went off fine. I then
upgraded it using the RH6.0 and all the modules were
loaded up fine. Incidentally the hdd has a vfat
partition for win98. Can the win98 partition create
some problem for Rh6.
