you can deny ipop3d connection from otherhosts by adding 2 lines
in /etc/hosts.deny like

ipop3d:ALL
imapd:ALL
        
and put 2 lines 

ALL:127.0.0.1
ALL:<localhost ip>

in /etc/hosts.allow files ...
