I have only seen two Indian edition books for Xlib pgming.
One book (a rather thick one) is , if I am right, written by
somebody called Navjoti Barkakati.
There is also a book called "X Window System", written
by Robert Scheifler, James Gettys etc available in Eastern Economy
Edition from Prentice Hall which I made the mistake of buying. The
book is a definitive reference written by the authors of X themselves,
but it is not for beginers.
If you are begining GUI programming, it is better not to
start at the Xlib level. You may begin with a toolkit like Qt
or Gtk for which lots of info is available on the Web. My favourite
is Python+Tkinter.
