I also got the same problem with rh6.0 as well as rh6.1.
Sometimes it is doing perfectly and sometimes it is not at all configuring
the monitor.
But, after some tweaking i managed to get the X working.
My display card is also S3Trio64v+.
So, don't loose the hope and try and try and try and try......
