Hellow Shankar,

As told to you, the mother board i'm using is from Vintron with the Award
BIOS. It has a Intel 810C Chipset onboard AGP and Sound Interface. Being a
computer essembler, i've got chance to install another new system for one of
my customer and this time it is a similar mother board but from PROCOMP
B1W1B. It comes with both Socket 310 and Slot 1. The AGP Interface here is
Intel 810 GMCH 0 Set with 82810 & 82801 Chipset supporting upto 1600*1200
resolution.
> 4. Max depth/resolution supported
But since this board shares its video ram with primary memory, i haven't put
it over 800*640 resolution. This board is working fine and is a good value
for money (At least in India for Rs. 4400/=)
> 1. The url from where u d/l the Xserver and related stuff
Linux Mandrake auto detected my stuff - but to get some thing special, i've
downloaded the drivers from Intel's website from
http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel810/linuxsoftware.htm
> 2. The installation procedure for the intel Xserver
Installation is pretty simple. Just run the tar.gz file
> 3. A sample of XF86Config
I'll get this for you next time. Quiet busy right now
> 5. Any other quirks u faced.
None in particular - It worked asusual - simple and fastly.

Mandrake detected as Intel 810c sound but the manual said AC97 compatible.
However the intel drivers that i've downloaded has overwritten the older
ones.
> Thanx once again!
By the way are you too much intrested in this Intellian stuff ?

But i still love Trident in Linux (for it has been in Linux and Unix circles
for a long time than any other display card vendor).SiS is my favourite for
Windows ( I still love watching Bond movies on my Windows Media Player for
Linix needs some more work in Multimedia circles)

How is Debian. I haven't seen it in action anywhere. Which version do you
work on. Intested to heat from you.
