Correct. There are two type of installations.
1. Standard Workstation Installation ( installs in ~/Office51 around 3.2MB )
2. Standard Custom Installation ( This is equivalent to installing SO if you have tar
file of StarOffice ). With Staroffice.tar file setup script should be run with /net
switch. ./setup /net. However since CHIP has given RPM file this step is not needed.

I have installed StarOffice under KDE at 1024x768 resolution at 16bpp. It (SO)
runs perfectly under WindowMaker too.
