Hi,
Are  /dev/hda8 and /dev/hda9 your windows partition? Login as root and open
the file /etc/fstab If you were previously mounting your dos partitions then
remove the lines for /dev/hda8 and /dev/hda9. Donot remove them if these are
your linux partitons. I had got the same message when i had tried to mount
my widows partition and had by mistake specified it as ext2.
