Hi, u gurus out there.
Help me with this.
I am trying to install RHL6.1 on my mach with p200 MMX and 2.1 gb hdd 32 mb
RAM. Earlier (presenlty I am running now also) Win95 OS and now I want to
learn Linux. The CD from which tried installing is PCQ Nov 1999. The mach is
now having two partitions 700 mb with win95 and rest unformatted. I did the
partition just now with FIPS (it melted down like a butter).
I dont even understand the jargons of Linux even. (like mounting, images
etc). PLease suggest some good beooks for beginers and advance development.
My problem:
This is when I go into the default mode.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not able to format the new partition create dwith FIPS. (How do I
format it ?) (I have gone thru the FIPS documentation atleast 10 times.)
As a newbie I tried installing Linux with formatting the unformatted
partition, with lots of errror messages.
What I believe is that it might be bcos I haven't yet formatted D: If
that is the reason then how do I format it use for Linux.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If no and linux will format D: itself during installation (if it is supposed
to do) then please tell me what does the following error message means,
(what remains after everything scrolled up)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
