Try using the command ' top '.  In this u can see the system resources
available and its usage.
In my system with celeron 433/64 MB SDRAM, the maximum swap space using is
below 10 MB  only.  I am running Email Service in Trivandrum and also having
configured for  squid, httpd,smtpd,pop3d,etc.
