See if you have the file "hilit19.elc" or "hilit19.el" in you emacs/lisp
directory. In my system it is kept in "/usr/share/emacs/20.3/lisp/".
You should add the following code in your .emacs directory.
(load "hilit19")
This should do the work. If not try loading the hilit19 lisp code manually.
>From the emacs type
M-x load-library <RET>
Then type the path and name of the lisp code.
/usr/share/emacs/20.3/lisp/hilit19.elc (or hilit19.el, which
ever is
present).
then
M-x hilit-hilight-buffer
Hope it works.
