you can use this while opening xterm
/usr/openwin/bin/xterm -fg White -bg "#008080" -cr green -sb -sl 500 -j -ls -fn
7x14 -title oberoi -e telnet 192.168.225.58 &
where you see you can give colors like "#rrggbb" or predefined as white
