Right Soumya, the problem is that my card is 2x with 86c268 chipset.
Closest we come to in the XFree86 database, till 3.3.5 is 265 chipset
and it is recommended that one uses VGA16 server with that, at their
site.
And that is pathetic!
By the way, to all, due to some hard coded limitation in S3 cards, you
can
nto achieve 32 bpp on them. 24 is the highest you get.
