Hello,

A friend of mine is having a strange problem.
He has 64MB of RAM. On his Linux system, if I loadl the stable version
of linux kernel (2.2.12 / 2.2.14), it detects only 15MB of RAM, whereas
when the unstable (2.3.48 or any 2.3.x) version is loaded, it takes full
64 MB.

I tried the standard RedHat compiled binaries of kernel as well as tried
compiling them myself. But with the 2.2.x version, it is taking only 15M
and working very slow.

What might be the problem ? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
