Hi .........

Richard M. Stallman (Hacker demi-god, founder of the GNU project,
principal
author of emacs, gcc, gdb to name only a few) is visiting India, and
Pune.
We have been fortunate to get him to give a talk, "The Free Software
Movement
and the GNU/Linux Operating System" while he is here in Pune. The
details of
this talk are as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 1 March 2000 (today)
Time: 4:30 P.M
Venue: Chandrashekhar Auditorium, Inter University Centre for
Astronomy and
         Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune University Campus.

This is an opportunity that comes along only rarely.
As time is short, please help to spread the word by telling as many of your
friends, former classmates, or acquaintances, in your former colleges or in
other software companie, as possible. *Please* send email, or phone and
tell, *as many* interested people as you can think of, and please start
doing
so *right away*; It would be a shame if a talk by someone of RMS's stature
is poorly attended just because people did not get to know in time.

For an HTML flyer for the talk, you can surf to (and point people to):
