have prepared the Kernel.org format information which is listed below.

Dell E7440 touchpad jumps position.

[2.]
Dell E7440 touchpad works correctly when freshly started each time; but after 
some time running, the mouse pointer starts to randomly jump position when I 
try to use the touchpad.  
(the problem seems to only happen in a vertical direction, I have not seen the 
same effect in horizontal movement via touchpad control)

When problem is happening, and I try to move the pointer to a new position, the 
pointer initially moves towards the target position OK , but as I slow down the 
movement in final approach to the target position, the pointer jumps quite a 
distance away from the target position.


If I shut down Ubuntu and re-start after about 10-20 seconds, the problem is 
temporarily resolved.
Both the USB Mouse and keyboard blue joy-button continue to work correctly 
while having "jumpy" touchpad problem.
When I boot to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on same PC, the touchpad always works 
correctly.

The problem never occurs immediately after start-up, but begins happening after 
1-4 hours of use, (mainly light use, emails & internet browsing)
If I shut down when problem occurs and re-start about 20 seconds later, the 
problem does not happen again for another 1-4 hours.

The problem does not occur when booting Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
