No, it still won't work, it can't find the file to patch at line 657.
What am i doing wrong? :/

make sure your linux source is called 'linux-2.2.9'
sit in the directory above (i.e. /usr/src) , and patch -p0 <
patch-2.2.9-ac1-irda1
