Hmm, I agree! We must find a different solution for Linux-2.3. I have a
large 2.3 patch that will soon be released, just need to fix it a little
bit more!

Irmanager should still be used for configuring devices like network etc,
but the speed change stuff should be fixed a different way. Lets start
thinking about a way to do it another way. I'm currently very congested, so 
personally I cannot do much with this issue right now.
