Hi, I have a problem to make Linux IrDA working with my Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 notebook. I 'd like to use the GSM modem of a Siemens S35 mobile phone via IrDA. Configuration: SuSE Linux 7.0 Kernel 2.2.16 (I have also tried 2.4.1) (latest) irda-utils 0.9.13 I have already tried the toshoboe driver for FIR support and the irattach command (of course I have loaded the necessary modules before). The kernel reports two serial devices one is the serial port, the second /dev/ttyS1 on 0x2f8, irq 3 uart 8250 should be the IrDA port. (I have no possibility to change it in the Bios) I bind irattach with the command "irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s" When I attach with minicom to /dev/ircomm0 (of course I have loaded the necessary modules before) and a baud rate of 9600 or 115200 (hw or sw flow control testet) I get no response, Minicom even hangs when exiting. I have also made some test with irdump without success. I see outgoing data but no incoming. Has anybody a good hint for me? Should I change to a Dell notebook to have more success? Thanks a lot for your replies, Bye, Erwin Roth. _______________________________________________ Linux-IrDA mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.pasta.cs.UiT.No/mailman/listinfo/linux-irda
