I think the whole process of managing discovery (including
discovery and purging) is not really well handled and tested when
periodic discovery is off.
Another thing that I would like is that, when the stack is in
this mode, when an application request the discovery log, the stack
doesn't return an empty dioscovery log but actually tries to perform
the discovery and return only after that.
So : Just submit you patch...
