Hallo,
i really would like to know, who has made it, to let a COMPAQ Armada
E500 with SMC IrCC (Win98 Standard: I/O 03E8H-03EFH und 0100H-0107H....
irq 03!!! DMA 05) work with irda, and how. I'v been trying for days and
irdadump just sends out packets without being able to get any answer
back from neither the mobiltel. nor the Palmtop (PalmVx). The Palm seems
to get aware of the irdadumping and shows the new "waiting for sender".
Please, give precise hints, 'cause I'm already lost in the bunch of
trials I have made.
Till now: dumping after irattach /dev/ttyS0 -s works very fast, but
won't be seen from my PalmVx
dumping after irattach /dev/ttyS2 -s (ttyS2 should be the
virtual serial, but it has under linux irq 4, not 3 like under win) it's
very slow, seems to have real problems but it lets the Palm wake up.
Under modules.conf is everything as suggested on the irda-howtos.
I use SuSE 7.1 and Kernel 2.2.18 with irda as module. HW by boot:
ttyS00 at 0x03f8 irq=4 is a 16550A
ttyS02 at 0x03e8 irq=4 is a 16550A
in the laptop there is a modem too; it has at the Win irq11 and com2
