Jean,
The problem with the USB driver was just that we had forked in two
directions (by accident), and I already got my version accepted in
the -ac tree. You had done much great work in your version, but I
didn't want to submit a "new" driver to Alan since it contained so
many changes, and it was hard to keep track of what was just cleanups
and what was new changes. I didn't want to signal that the USB driver
was in a very early fase of development, so I took the most important
changes (without cleanups) from your latest patch and applied it to
the driver which was already in the -ac tree, and this driver has now
been accepted by Linus.
I also saw that one of your other patches (skb from socket fix in
irttp) had been sent directly to Alan (not by myself), so I assumed
you had submitted your pathes yourself. In that was the case, I would
assume that you keeped track yourself of what had been accepted or
not by Alan.
