Sorry about all of that HTML stuff. I can only access this yahoo account from where I work. I think I turned it off, so let me know if this is better. Let me clairify what have done, and what i need. I am using Red Hat 7.1, using KDE as my window manager. Although i do have GNOME. The laptop i am using is a Dell Latitude CPi. 300Mhz, 128 megs of ram, 6 gig hard drive... And i believe, a SIR infrared port. I have read many how-to's reguarding this, but since this is the newest version of linux to come out, most of the stuff that i have read is out dated. I have all of the: ircomm0 irlpt0 ect.. in the /dev/ directory. And the IR port is activated in the BIOS of the computer because it does work under windows. Are there some special utilities that i need to use to get this to work in linux? I am using the kontrol-panel that KDE comes with to configue the printer.. is that a mistake too? Well, i hope this makes things just a little more clear. thanks again, -Alan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
