I just installed 2.2.19. It gives about the same oops, even a little bit
faster. On 2.2.18 it returned to prompt first and on pressing any key, it
made the oops. On 2.2.19 is does not even return to prompt.
Going to the Changelog of 2.2.19, this was actually the expected behaviour.
The oops-handling was taken from 2.4 which has the same error.
The oops data changed only very little.

I also forward to linux-irda, again. So , almost no linux kernel is working
with it right now.
So what am I trying to do? I try to communicate with my Siemens S35i mobile
phone, sending AT commands and some data as hex strings. It hangs even when
not sending those hex strings. If someone has the same phone (or an S25 which
would work, too), he may want to try it and see if the oops only happens here
or with my Tekram Irmate 210B serial dongle.
