I saw on this list a few months ago some emails about
hotsyncing a visor via IRDA. I'm try, but it's not
working...
I have the Palm ir enhancements, and BeamSync on the
Visor.
On my Toshiba Portege 3015 (laptop) I'm running
more-or-less stock RH 7.1. ( haven't recompiled the
kernal....
First: On the visor, when I press hot sync, I get "The
connection between your handheld computer and the
desktop could not be established...." with in about
two seconds. It seems that That is happening faster
than it should be. IS it?
Second: I'm not an irda expert (or even a novice ;-).
What do I need to do to make ti work (or where should
I read to learn what to do to make it work?) What I
have done:
in /etc/modules.conf added:
alias irda0 toshoboe
alias char-major-161 ircomm-tty
I've been trying pilot-xfer /dev/comm0 -l to test.
Any suggestions??
