This message comes from the "nsc_ircc_setup()" function.  The
setup code is expecting a version between 0x20 and 0x2f.  The
version of your chip is 0x14.  I'll let someone else comment
on whether or not the driver will work with your chip.

Please note that the "findchip" utility contains a bug
that makes it not report correctly whether or not a
PC'338 chip is in PnP or legacy mode.
