I've also been looking at this on and off.
Its interesting that findchip works after a suspend and finds the right
id when the module doesn't.
I was trying to look at the irq problem.
Now the nsc driver supports suspend without removal and reload (for
most) it looks like the interupts never get enabled after the suspend on
the vaio.
I just lack the time and information about either enabling interupts or
how the nsc chip works. If anyone has some pointers I will try and make
some time.
