I have tried this patch, but I still have a problem using an Actisys IR2000U with a Nokia 8210. I have reported the problems to this list before, but briefly: A few seconds after initiating an IrCOMM connection to the phone, the connection hangs, and no more data is received from the phone. I have tried using other Nokia 8210 - same problem. Other phones / devices with the dongle - works fine. Using phone on a normal (non-dongle) IR port - works fine. Using dongle and phone under Windows - works fine. I spent quite some time trying to debug this previously but did not get anywhere useful, and having received no response from this list I had pretty much given up on getting this to work.
