Sorry, this is not (quite) right. I updated to modutils-2.4.10.
But I make some sort of cross-compiling, because I've not enough
disk space on my PowerBook. So I compile on a Blue/White G3 (desktop
computer) and there I get perhaps the trouble, because I transfer
the "vmlinux" and /lib/modules/2.4.x "by hand".
Also the update to "modutils-2.4.10" resulted for me only in some
files under "/sbin". These files I transfered to the PowerBook G3.

Anything wrong? :-(

The state is now:
- IrDA works fine --- installing modules by hand :-(
  See other posting.
- Pcmcia does not work. I try to work through the installation settings.

Kind regards
