What kind of luck has anyone had getting the LJ 2100 to print over IR? I am using RedHat 7.2, and I finally have IR working, to the point where irdadump shows activity, and the light on the IR port of the printer blinks. If I do a
cat filename >/dev/irlpt0 the file prints (at least the first line or so). However, I can't get normal printing to work. I used RedHat's printconf-gui to add the print queue, selecting a custom device of /dev/irlpt0 (default is /dev/lp0). I've tried using all of the different drivers for the LJ 2100 (though obviously the pxlmono is my preference), but when I try to print a test page, nothing happens on the printer, and I get an error saying "There was an error trying to print the test page." I've tried both postscript and ASCII test pages with no results. Is this a problem with the IR, or something with my print settings? I don't know quite what to check. Any advice would be much appreciated. --C __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
