Dear friends, dear Jean,
BUG, BUG, BUT but not fatal :)
PrequisitesL
I work with kernel version 2.4.12.
Problem:
Object in local IAS use "int", so on my machine (Cyrix 6x86/266Mhz)
IDs are over 2byte range (0..65535). Hence, some IDs are like 3443430,
pointing me to 4bytes numbers. I'm not very familiar with "int" type
storage on different architectures, but from my experience tell that
on vanilla x86 "int" = 2 byte.
Anyway, forget this and concentrate on the fact that IrDA specs tell
that ID is 16bits = 2bytes
So, we must stick with this. This fact was pin-pointed when
I implemented *_BY_ID *sockopt calls. hashbin for IAS objects
store a structure with that offending "int" :)
Plan: to fix this inconsistency and make a patch
kind regards,
