Du-oh... When I upgraded to 2.4.12 I forgot to re-set FAST_RR.
With FAST_RR set, everything works a treat -- I get 3.6 kB/s,
just as with the RS232 cable.

What does packet loss in an irdadump output look like? I'll try
it with and without max_tx_turn_time set to 10ms and see if it
makes any difference.
