executing echo 9600 >> /proc/sys/net/irda/max_baud_rate has fixed the
problem for me too. Perhaps Girbil isn't happy with higher baud rates?

Hi all,
I'm experiencing a problem whenever I try to connect, which I'd be
grateful if anyone can shed any light on. I've searched through the message
list for an explanation but haven't found anything.
I'm using Redhat 7.1 - kernel 2.4 with the latest irda-utils package
installed from source and started as modules. I also have a girbil dongle on
the serial port.
I've been able to start irda, run irdaping, irdadump and send and
receive Ultra packages between two identical machines, but I repeatedly get
an error when connect() is executed irrespective of what I'm connecting to.
The output below shows a typical failure when irdaspray was executed between
two identical machines. Similar failures occur whenever I try to connect to
a Palm or Nokia. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The connect occurs just after the Scooby line. What is the stack
trying to tell me?
