Hi All, I've a toshiba satellite 1800-400 with IR device. Toshiba says (on http://newsletter.toshiba-tro.de/main/ pages) that it has a:
Super IO SMSC LPC47N227 inside. They say also that at the moment is is not yet implemented any support (at least as far as they know). Actually I've the following platform: RedHat 7.1 kernel 2.4.10 (compiled with irda support) irda-utils-0.9.13-7 and it seems that irda is not working. Launching irattach irda0 I get: Oct 15 09:04:51 uva irattach: executing: '/sbin/modprobe irda0' Oct 15 09:04:52 uva irattach: + /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/net/irda/toshoboe.o: init_module: No such device Oct 15 09:04:52 uva irattach: + /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/net/irda/toshoboe.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/net/irda/toshoboe.o failed Oct 15 09:04:52 uva irattach: + /lib/modules/2.4.10/kernel/drivers/net/irda/toshoboe.o: insmod irda0 failed Oct 15 09:04:52 uva irattach: + Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters Oct 15 09:04:52 uva irattach: Trying to load module irda0 exited with status 255 Oct 15 09:04:52 uva irattach: Starting device irda0 Do I have any chance to have it working now or in the future? Thanks for help Regards Daniele Antoniazzi _______________________________________________ Linux-IrDA mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.pasta.cs.UiT.No/mailman/listinfo/linux-irda
