Hi all

I have a problem sync'ing my palm m505 with linux 2.4.14 kernel.

Problems:
- pilot-xfer, addresses and jpilot start syncing, but the palm stops after
a short time. (timeout?? where to be changed??)
- kpilot and coldsync don't work at all (error "GET_VALUE_BY_CLASS: No such
   class")

I thought all these tools rely on pilot-xfer, but they behave differently.

The kernel seems not to support irda very well, as I read in the list. So I
decided to apply irda patches from this site. But I only succeeded with
irda.1.1diff.

Questions:
- Is there a proper patch to 2.4.14?
- Which kernel above 2.4.14 supports irda properly?
- Why do I get "GET_VALUE_BY_CLASS: No such class" when using
kpilot and coldync. Do I need an irobex kernel module???

I'm using Suse 7.2, irda-0.9.13-42.
