I am trying to irda to work on my Dell Latitude CPx H machine.

I can get it to work using the serial driver - the problem is that
communications via ircomm with my Nokia 8210 is very very slow.

So I have tried to get it to work with smc-ircc. I have the following
in my modules.conf:
  alias irda0 smc-ircc

When I do irattach irda0 -s I get:

 insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.17/kernel/drivers/net/irda/smc-ircc.o:
init_module: No such device
in the logs.

findchip reports:
SMC,FDC37N958FR,1.1,0x3f0,0x2f8,0x280,3,4,32,0,1

So this *looks* like a supported chip.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong. If there is a FM someone can point
at I can RTFM then great. If not - can someone give me a hint.
