Hi!

Could somebody help me with running irlan/irnet on Red Hat 7.2?

I know it may be FAQ but I have already spent 2 horus yesterday
and 6 hours today with no luck.

I got two notebooks. Both are in FIR. Red Hat did load
irda0 device. irdump shows both machines (one is bond and the ither
is kubus):

08:55:13.686424 xid:cmd ffffffff < 5cb997be S=6 s=* bond hint=0400 [
Computer ] (20)
08:55:16.146431 xid:cmd ffffffff < 5cb997be S=6 s=0 (14)
08:55:16.236429 xid:cmd ffffffff < 5cb997be S=6 s=1 (14)
08:55:16.236463 xid:rsp 066d2d33 > 5cb997be S=6 s=1 kubus hint=4400 [
Computer LAN Access ] (21)
08:55:16.286424 xid:rsp 5cb997be < 066d2d33 S=6 s=1 kubus hint=4400 [
Computer LAN Access ] (21)

irdaping 0x5cb997be and
irdaping 0x066d2d33

also work fine. However I do not know how to get TCP/IP.

I tried loading irlan modules but after this
ifconfig
hangs indifinetly, all other programs run fine
but ifconfig hangs and can not be killed - it even blocks
soft reboot - only hard reboot helps.

This happens on both HP omnibook 4150 and Dell Lattitude CP M233XT
so this is rather not a hardware problem.

Could somebody help me and write me what should I do to have
TCP/ICP over IrDA link?

Thanks in advance,

Jacek
