I've got a Motorola Timeport P935 2-way pager here and want to make it talk to
my Linux box. My question is basically, "Where do I start?"

The P935 comes with a a charging station that has an IR link that buts up
against the IR port on the P935 itself. The back of the charging station has
a serial cable that I've connected to my Linux box.

The P935 itself runs Wisdom OS 4.0.50.70.1218.

My Linux box is running 2.4.9 and I've compiled it with all the IR modules:

[root@deepeddy 2.4.9-13v2smp]# find /lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp -name 'ir*'
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/drivers/net/irda
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/drivers/net/irda/irda-usb.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/drivers/net/irda/irport.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/drivers/net/irda/irtty.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/ircomm
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/ircomm/ircomm-tty.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/ircomm/ircomm.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/irlan
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/irlan/irlan.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/irda.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/irnet
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/irnet/irnet.o
/lib/modules/2.4.9-13v2smp/kernel/net/irda/irlan.o

I've also installed the irda-utils-0.9.14-2 RPM.

The P935 comes with a CD of Windows software for syncing data, but I don't run
windows, so that's fairly useless to me. The CD appears to contain something
called "TrueSync".

So... where do I start?

The Greatest tragedy in mankind's entire history may be the
hijacking of morality by religion. However valuable -- even
necessary -- that may have been in enforcing good behavior on
primitive peoples, their association is now counterproductive.
Yet at the very moment when they should be decoupled,
sanctimonious nitwits are calling for a return to morals based
      on superstition.
