After having worked through getting smc-ircc and ircomm and everything up and going I'm getting bolder by the day, and I now have my Palm working nicely over PPP, and next step was going to be my Ericsson t39m. It apparently dials nicely and though I'm only getting 9600 baud connects it seems to move bits, but every 20 seconds or so I get these in my syslog:
Feb 11 01:48:22 lapper kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: irda0: transmit timed out Feb 11 01:48:22 lapper kernel: irda0: transmit timed out Feb 11 01:48:24 lapper kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: irda0: transmit timed out Feb 11 01:48:24 lapper kernel: irda0: transmit timed out Any pointers? My PPP setup has a MTU/MRU of 320 bytes so I won't crowd the PPP-link and as far as I can tell the IR-link is operating at 115kbits: irlap0 state: LAP_XMIT_P device name: irda0, hardware name: SIR @ 0x3e8 caddr: 0xde, saddr: 0xaf1ec2ff, daddr: 0x7ba6a254 win size: 3, win: 3, line capacity: 4800, bytes left: 4800 tx queue len: 0 win queue len: 0 rbusy: FALSE mbusy: FALSE retrans: 0 vs: 2 vr: 3 va: 1 qos bps maxtt dsize winsize addbofs mintt ldisc comp tx 115200 500 256 3 0 10 12 rx 115200 500 2048 1 0 1000 12 ...but is only handles data in 256-byte chucks for Tx? How can I get it to accept larger bits? ttfn, A -- Alexander Hoogerhuis | [EMAIL PROTECTED] CCNP - CCDP - MCNE - CCSE | +47 905 76 198 "You have zero privacy anyway.
